Royal College Wayamba was established with the coperation of, Minister of Irrigation Mr. Sarath Welagedara and the Chief Minister of the North Western province honourable Gamini Jayawikrama Perera and the Director Of Education North Western province Mr. K.G Somadasa on 4th of March 1993. Our school is located in the district of Kurunegala in a land area of two acres, two roods and twenty two percheses. The first principal was Mr. Manel Wickramasinhge and the initial number of students were one hundred and forty two with eight teachers and two non-academic staff members.

Providing an education from the Pre School to the GCE Advanced Level and all-round development of the student under a Sri Lankan cultural environment.

සුබ උපන් දිනයක්

අද දින 30 වන උපන් දිනය සමරන වයඹ රාජකීය විද්‍යාලයේ ජයග්‍රාහී අනාගතය ට උණුසුම් සුභ පැතුම් එක්කරමි. 1993 වර්ෂයේ දී සිසුන් 142 ක් හා අධ්‍යයන අනධ්‍යයන කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය 10 දෙනෙකුගෙන් යුක්තව ආරම්භ කල අප විද්‍යාලය අද වනවිට සිසුන් 5000 කට ආසන්න ප්‍රමාණයක් හා අධ්‍යයන අනධ්‍යයන කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය 200 කට ප්‍රමාණයක් සහිතව ක්‍රියාත්මක වන සුවිසල් රුක්ෂයක් බවට පත්ව ඇත.
